Vision
Eklund's Inc. was founded in Grapevine, Texas by James (Jim) B. Eklund in 1982. Prior to founding Eklund's, Jim had spent his entire business career in the elevator cab and entrance business. His vision for Eklund's was to create a company whose top priority was customer service and satisfaction. Specialty elevator cabs were among the first orders of business. This proved to be the beginning of one of Eklund's market niches in the elevator industry and the beginning of a unique and successful business enterprise.
Since 1984, Eklund's has experienced continued growth and success in the expansion of its customer base, revenue dollars and manufacturing and service capabilities. To capitalize on growing business opportunities, branch offices were opened in Houston in 1992 and in Chicago in 1994. As market and product demand increased headquarters were relocated to Southlake, TX in 1998 with the opening of a new manufacturing facility and corporate offices. As of January 2011, we now have a second manufacturing facility and sales office in the Baltimore-Washington area to better serve the northeast vertical transportation industry.
Today, Eklund's continues to reaffirm its leadership position in the elevator cab industry with the addition of expanded manufacturing facilities to support the production of its new customized standard cab line.
